A Space opera by Terry Pratchett with a story that revolves around three travellers (one human and two space aliens) and their exploration of a disc shaped planet. And no, this is actually not one of Pratchett's many Discworld books.
The book starts out with the group getting together and starting their journey to what they have been told should be a disc shaped planet. In the beginning they doubt its existence and are very surprised when they actually finds it. The planet is clearly not a natural made object and the questions of who made the planet and for what reason puzzles the group. It doesn't make any sense at all to make a planet disc shape. In the end they find the reason, but I'm not telling you because that would ruin the whole point of reading the book. :)
This book does not contain as much humour as the Discworld books, as one easily assumes, but it is still a good book. Written as good as any other work I have read by Pratchett. I recommend this book to anyone that needs something to read on a slow and rainy day.
Another Discworld book from Terry Pratchett. This one is very much inspired by the classic book "Phantom of the Opera", with the most obvious likeness begin that it is taking place in an Opera where a "ghost" is up to mischief (like killing people).
It starts out with a girl from Lancre, Agnes Nitt, moves to Ankh-Morpork and manages to get employment at the Opera House. At the same time two witches in Lancre, Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg, feels the need for a third witch to complete their group. Agnes would have been a perfect match, but the witches feel that they shouldn't in any way put pressure on Agnes to come back an join them. Although when the witches find a reason to travel to Ankh-Morpork, they jump on it.
This book is an enjoyable read. It is recommend to everyone that needs something to read when they want to lie down and relax.

This book is a sci-fi set in the future (or what was the future when it was written, now it is set in an alternate historic world).
In this "future" new kinds of technologies and humans exists. For example a machine that can regain the conscious of a newly dead person has been invented and psychics and anti-psychics of various kinds has evolved. The anti-psychics are persons whose only ability is that they can cancel out a specific psychic ability. Psychics are often employed for espionage and anti-psychics are employed to hinder the psychic’s espionage.
The book starts out with a group of anti-psychics going to the moon to do a job. Too late they realise that the job is a set-up by rival psychic organisation. They manage to get back to earth, but they quickly find it a little bit different from when they left.
The book is well written but there is really no good reason to recommend this book. So it fall into the "read it if you don't have anything better to read" category.

This is one of many Discworld book with the usual humour in the familiar fantasy seting known to those who has read other Discworld books.
In this one Rincewind is once again out on adventure. He has after some persuasion agreed to be magically transferred to the empire Agatean. A country on the other side of the disc. Once there, he quickly finds himself in trouble. A group of people says he is prophecised to lead the "Red army" in its revolt against the Emperor. At the same time an old friend to Rincewind, Cohen the barbarian, is running around in the empire with his Silver horde. They are on a quest to steal the greastest thing they have ever stolen so far.
Several book with Rincewind as a main character has preceded this one. You don't need to read them to read this one and I don't recommend you do. The book is an entertaining read, but I only recommended it if you don't have anything better to read. It is one of the better Rincewind books and that's mainly because Cohen and his silver horde is in it.
Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, SPAMALOT is the new musical directed by Oscar-winning Mike Nichols, with a book by the third tallest Python, Eric Idle, and an almost but not quite entirely new score by Eric Idle (no relation) and John du Prez.
Retelling the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and featuring a number of gratuitously scantily clad showgirls, not to mention the cows, killer rabbits and French people.
This is the first musical I have ever seen live. So I can't compare it to other musicals, only to the movie it is based on (The Holy Grail). If you liked the movie you will probably like this musical (but probably not as much).
I enjoyed watching and listening to all the dancing and singing and I laugh a lot. A lot of the funny dialog was directly taken from the movie, but the story overall had several big differences in it compared to the original. Most things in the musical (like the acting, the singing and the special effects) ranged from cheesy to really impressive. The cheesy stuff always felt like it was there to add more humour into the musical.
I had to pay £55 to see it (you can get it cheaper) and that makes it hard for me to recommend to anyone. It's too expensive, even though I don't regret spending so much to see it. What I do recommend is that you see the movie if you haven't already.

This book is one of the many Discworld books. Which means it contains a lot humour and is set in a fantasy world. It is the second book about the Night watch of Ankh-Morpork (the first one is named "Guards, Guards!"). You don't need to read the first one to read this, but I recommend it.
The book begins with an explosion, a theft and several mysterious murders. The events are blamed on ethnic disputes between the trolls and the dwarfs and ordinary accidents, so the captain of the Night watch is order not to investigate. Of course the Captain decides to investigate anyway, while attempting to make sure the trolls and the dwarfs don't massacre each other. The story is good. It kept me entertained the whole time I was reading it.
So to summarise, this is a good book that I recommended to everyone that wants to continue reading about the Night watch.

I don't really know how to describe this book right to do it justice. It is set in Italy during the Second World War and the story revolves around the character Yossarian and several other officers stationed at a military airport base. Everyone has their own agenda and a lot of absurd situations arise because of it.
It is a good book, one that I will probably read it again someday. I recommend it to everyone.
Quote from the book
Yossarian says, "You're talking about winning the war, and I am talking about winning the war and keeping alive."
"Exactly," Clevinger snapped smugly. "And which do you think is more important?"
"To whom?" Yossarian shot back. "It doesn't make a damn bit of difference who wins the war to someone who's dead."
"I can't think of another attitude that could be depended upon to give greater comfort to the enemy."
"The enemy," retorted Yossarian with weighted precision, "is anybody who's going to get you killed, no matter which side he's on."

About four people that meet each other on top of a tower when they were all about to commit suicide. They talk to each other and decide to postpone their suicides. The book then continues to follow their lives a couple of months after their attemted suicide.
It is a nicely written book. It may sound like a depressing book to read, but it is far from depressing. The four main characters are interesting to read about and it made me laugh out loud more than once.
It's a perfect book for travelling, because the chapters are short. So I recommend it to people that wants too have something to entertain them on a journey.
This game got good reviews, but sold poorly. I quickly understood why when I started to play the game. The first two hours of the game are not that fun at all. It feels like a very long drawn out tutorial. So I don't think that many people who only test played it for a while bought it.
The game is an adventure 3D platform game in which you play young boy and psychic in training nicknamed Raz. During the game Raz develops new abilities that he needs to use in order to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles. One of the first abilities Raz learns is how to enter other people's minds. Which is something he will do many times before the adventure is over.
The best thing about this game is the level design. It very strange and twisted, especially when Raz enters into a persons mind. The visual design in general is what makes this game great and if it wasn't for it, I wouldn’t have enjoyed this game half as much as I did. The other enjoyable half of the game was the humour that can be found in it.
The one thing I hated about this game was that you gained more power by running around and collecting things. The thought of not being powerful enough when facing a boss was always on my mind and forced me to run around looking for things to collect. In my opinion, unnecessary stress.
This is a good game, but it doesn't really stand out game play wise and I can't find any reason to recommend it to anyone.

Small Gods is a fun adventure book. I don't want to give story the away, so I’ll only tell you it's about a young novice and a god that once was big and powerful but now is trapped in the shape of a turtle.
The book one of the many Discworld books written by Terry Pratchett, but that doesn’t mean you have to read any of the other Discworld books to enjoy this one. If you have read any other Discworld books, you would know this one too contains a lot of humour. Most of the humour in this one has to do about religion and philosophy. So the more you know about it, the more you will laugh.
I recommend this book to anyone that want to read an adventure book in a fantasy setting.
This is the best self-help book I have read so far. Simple bacause it makes all the other self-help books better. The book tells you why a lot of the self-help/motivation books/speeches/tapes only give a temporary effect and don't work in the long run. They fail because they never help you remove your old behaviour and thoughtpatterns. Two things that can hinder you from making permanent changes in your life, your behaviour and your thoughts.
This book is all about "affirmations". You have probably heard or read an affirmation even if you haven't heard the word "affirmation" before. An affirmation can be a phrase like "I am strong and capable", "I am a special, unique person." and "I accept and love myself as I am right now", but also a phrase like "I take the time to clean up the kitchen after I made a meal". The author tells how to construct affirmations and how to use them properly for best results (because you can make affirmations that doesn't help you at all).
I strongly recommend this book to everyone. If you want to change your life, behaviour or thoughts READ THIS BOOK.

Written for all ages, this story takes less than an hour to read, but its unique insights can last for a lifetime.
Who Moved My Cheese? is a simple parable that reveals profound truths. It is an amusing and enlightening story of four characters who live in a maze and look for cheese to nourish them and make them happy.
Cheese is a metaphor for what you want to have in life- whether it is a good job, a loving relationship, money or a possession, health or spiritual peace of mind.
And the maze is where you look for what you want - the organisation you work in, or the family or community you live in.
This profound book from bestselling author, Dr Spencer Johnson, will show you how to:
- Anticipate change
- Adapt to change quickly
- Enjoy change
- Be ready to change quickly, again and againDiscover the secret for yourself and learn how to deal with change, so that you suffer less stress and enjoy more success in your work and in life.
The four points in the description are wrong. The book doesn't show you how to do all that stuff, it just tells you that you should accept change and learn the four point on your own.
The book is based around a story about two mice and two little men that lives inside a maze. They are all looking for cheese, but in different ways and with different mindsets. The two mice are the ones that have the good mindset and the two men are the ones that don’t have a good mindset. In the story we follow one of the men as he walks through the maze and changes his mindset from bad to good.
It is a good story and I think everyone should read it. I'm not sure it is worth the 11 dollars I paid for it though, because it is a very quick read. It took me two hours and I think some people might read through it in one hour easily.
This is a book about the Monty Python group made from interviews of the members. It concentrates on what the group did and how it was to be a member of the group. It doesn't tell you much about the personal life of the members outside the group. Still I learnt plenty, becuase I didn't really know anything about the different members (I didn't know Graham Chapman were gay and had a severe alcohol problem).
The book was mainly written like a TV documentary show. It jumps from interview to interview all the time. It was a little disorienting at first, but after a while I managed to get used to it.
I like this book and I recommend it anyone that wants to learn a little about the group Monty Python. If you are looking for an in-depth biography of the personal lives of the Pythons, then this book is not for you.

This is the fourth and most recent Hitman game to be release. And just like in the other three games you play as the hitman know as Agent 47.
The game play consists of several mission with simply defined objectives: Sneak in, kill the targets and sneak out (Well, on some missions you also need to steal a thing or two). Even though all the missions almost have the same objectives, the game doesn't become boring. Every mission offers different and multiple solutions on how to get close your target and how to kill him. A nice addition to the game series, is that you now can kill your target in a way that makes the death look like an accident.
This game is almost like a puzzle game that requires not only thought, but also stealth and patience. Ordinary the game play consists of studying maps and the movements of the other characters. You need to do this so you can find out how to gain access to your target without getting caught. You can (and sometimes must) drug or kill a character to avoid getting caught and/or to use their cloths as a disguise.
There is a story in the game, but the missions’ objectives have little or nothing to do with it. What one thinks of the story doesn't really affect what one thinks of the game as a whole.
I liked playing this game, even though it felt like it wasn't as hard as the others Hitman games. I managed to easily get the highest-ranking score ("Silent Assassin") on most missions on my first try. I don't know if it was the game or me (I might have gotten better and/or grown more patient).
And because I got "Silent Assassin" ranking on most missions I never got to experience a new feature of the game, the notoriety effect. Supposedly if you do a sloppy job on a mission the following missions are going to be harder.
I recommend this game to anyone that liked the other Hitman games or liked any other stealth game. This is not a mindless shooter. If that's what you are looking for, don't buy this game.
