Remake of Colonization announced

2K Games revealed Monday that Civilization IV: Colonization, a "complete re-imagining" of the 1994 strategy game Sid Meier’s Colonization, will be available this Fall.
The game is currently being produced by Firaxis and will be released exclusively for Games for Windows. Civilization IV: Colonization is being built in the Civilization IV engine, but is a standalone product that will not need the original Civilization IV to run.
